What Features Does MetaTrader 5 Have?

Once for trading it was necessary to have a personal presence on the stock exchange. Later, a phone call to the broker was enough. The advent of computers is the beginning of a new era in investments: anyone can trade on their own, it is enough to open a brokerage account. Today, you can make transactions with assets even on your smartphone.

The free mobile application is installed in addition to the PC program. It does not provide the ability to generate a certificate, so you need to create it in the full version of the platform, then extract the key and register it. After that, the certificate is imported to the smartphone. After that, you can use mt5 login online.

MetaTrader 5 is one of the leading trading platforms thanks to its wide range of features.  One of the most demanded features of the terminal is the function to copy trading through trading signals.

In MetaTrader, signals are using the Trade Alerts service. The essence of the work is to copy the operations of the trader, who is subscribed to, with a predetermined level of risk. Copy trading makes it possible to make money using other people’s skills, and at the same time not go into the red in case of failure. A certain commission is paid for repeating operations. Such conditions are beneficial for both parties – the supplier earns on his knowledge and shares from subscribers’ transactions, the user receives profit without additional time costs.

Trade Alerts stands out from similar services of other trading platforms – it is developed by the same company that created the terminal. It has benefited the quality of work – signals come almost without delays, so the speed of their execution is very high. Fast copy transactions are especially important when using speculative strategy in currency markets.

How to select a signal?

The popularity of the platform contributes to the huge choice of traders that can be subscribed to. To minimize risks in MetaTrader, signals go through a control system based on several indicators. Quality assessment leads to the ranking of strategies by rating – the most successful ones are at the top of the list, the inefficient ones are removed. You can view the available subscription options in two ways – in the terminal itself and on a specialized website in the “Signals” section.

By clicking on the name of the signal, you can view detailed information about it: increase, number of subscribers, maximum drawdown. It is possible to visualize the tool on the chart. A warning may appear in the same window, which will indicate additional points that can affect the decision – a new date for opening an account or an insufficient number of transactions for withdrawal.

If it is difficult to make a choice right away, clicking the star next to the information about the cost of a subscription moves the tool to “Favorites”. By marking a few, you can compare them in more detail or return to them later.

There are filters that allow you to sort by certain parameters, such as broker or author, profitability and leverage. A function is available that will help you see signals that are not included in the rating.

How to reduce risks?

All signal providers undergo a trial period and quality control. In the foreign exchange markets, the opportunity to get subscribers is available only to traders whose account has dipped by no more than 60%. Additionally, the terminal has the ability to configure three parameters that can minimize the risk:

  • load no more than a certain percentage of the deposit;
  • stop if the score is lower;
  • execute within a certain spread.

It is worth remembering that a well-thought-out risk minimization policy will protect you from a complete loss of money. But it depends on the desire of each. After all, everyone chooses his own option for earning, taking risks and developing a strategy for the future. The main thing is to always focus on your opinion and expertise, and not trust everything to random people.
