+OneX, the new-age solutions and systems integrator in the Reunert Group, has onboarded over 300 clients and has grown its full-time employee headcount to around 320 people to enhance its value proposition.
The company now aims to dramatically scale up its managed services capability and position itself as an end-to-end digital transformation partner that can help organisations across their digital consulting, cloud, unified communications, data, software, end-user computing and security needs.
Speaking at the company’s inaugural +OneXplore event, CEO Rob Godlonton, said that +OneX has delivered strong growth since it was founded in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting with Reunert’s Nashua Communications unified communications business as a base, +OneX has since grown into a strong competitor in the systems integration, enterprise solutions and managed services space though a combination of acquisitive and organic growth. The company counts major South African banks and retailers as well as many public sector entities, educational institutions and industrial companies as clients.
A next-generation ICT managed services success
Godlonton said: “Reunert offered us a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build a next-generation ICT managed services business from the ground up and answer the call in the South African market for an end-to-end digital transformation partner. This enabled us to design a business model that is centred on cloud-native technologies, a consulting-led and vendor-agnostic approach to solving customers’ business problems, and a more streamlined, flexible, and customised client experience. Our strength lies in the fact that we have the speed and agility of a start-up, combined with the scale and governance of an enterprise.”
Over the past three years, +OneX has added strong talent to its team, including the leaders and founders of the companies which have been acquired. “Today, we are a level one accredited broad-based black economic empowerment company that can offer enterprise clients a full suite of IT solutions and services,” said Godlonton. “Following our acquisitions in cloud hosting, digital media, security, and software app development over the past two years, we expect to bring new joiners on board in the months to come. This will further strengthen our capabilities and scale our business in areas such as user experience, digital consulting and managed services.”
Key Reasons for growth
+OneX’s growth was bolstered with the inclusion of Code Maven, Triple H Cloud Services, DataCore Media, MMC and EUCafrica. These companies are now fully integrated into +OneX’s brand and onboarded onto its platform and systems. In each instance, +OneX has retained key directors and owners, with the philosophy that founders join +OneX to scale and achieve their ambitions.
Said Godlonton: “+OneX has the purpose of creating opportunities to improve people’s lives. That stretches from helping to address the country’s ICT skills gap and creating jobs, through to the work we do to help our clients become more profitable and competitive, up to our engagements with the community. Our overriding ambition is to be the go-to solutions and systems integrator in South Africa for clients and talent alike — able to help clients navigate the many challenges and opportunities of the digital age.”
