Mobile phone giant MTN said the start date for the new CEO Rob Shuter has been brought forward by three months to 13 March. MTN, Africa and Middle East biggest mobile phone operator, said on Monday that it has started the  process to repatriate about R15 billion in MTN Iran. By Staff Writer Economic sanctions were lifted in January in the Middle Eastern country, enabling Iran to re-enter the global economy. Africa’s biggest mobile phone operator MTN on Monday reiterated its position on allegations that it improperly repatriated $14 billion out of Nigeria and describe it as unfounded and without merit. By Staff Writer MTN said in a statement that its Nigerian operation continues to refute the allegations that it had improperly repatriated funds from Nigeria.
