We are all in lockdown, and it is getting pretty stressful. Most people seem to be struggling with deciding on things to do while we can’t leave our homes. That is why, in this article, we will take a brief look at the top 5 things to do this lockdown. Let’s just hope there is no more, but if there are, we will be here for you.

As before, these things are pretty random, just to keep the ideas flowing.

Top 5 Things to Do During Lockdown

We urge you to try all of these things, even if it is just to keep yourself entertained and sane while contemplating all of the time that we have at home. Of course, one or two of the things may not fit your lifestyle, but perhaps you can introduce them to others that they do.

Get Your Baby in A Better Sleep Routine

One thing that we have all found, me especially, is that our babies are not in the same sleep routine as they were when we were going to work or taking our children to school. That is a real problem for most people because it takes away all of our time alone. While we love our children dearly, we still need some adult time. That is super difficult when our babies are not going to sleep until late, and even worse if you have younger children who still get up early.

So, the best way to get your baby to have a better routine is as individual as they are. However, if you head over to HushBaby Sleep, they have a plethora of information about how to help get some time for yourself.

Learn To Meditate

Once you have found some time for yourself, why not try to do some meditating? Of course, there are different forms of meditation, depending on what you want to do. You can do some relaxation meditation, or you can take a walk on the wild side and try to connect with spirit guides or loved ones. Personally, we like to mix it up between the two, as it gives us a lot more to learn than sticking with one. However, where do you start?

Well, one of the best places that we have found for the information is Journey to Ascension. If you are a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, their spiritual meditation for beginners’ article is the place to start.

Try and Solve a Mystery

This idea is not for everyone, and certainly not for the faint-hearted. However, have you got a keep eye for detail and thought that you might be a detective in another life? If so, then perhaps trying to solve a real mystery is for you. There are probably more unresolved mysteries than you would ever thing; however, getting to the bottom of them is something that a lot of people enjoy trying to do.

There is a complete sub-Reddit for these unsolved crimes, including murder, crimes, disappearance, and more. Head over to Reddit to see if you can help out.

Learn First Aid

Although we are in lockdown, things can still go wrong, unfortunately. Luckily, people are a lot less likely to get hurt at the moment, but you never know. Learning first aid is especially vital now, while care centres are overwhelmed. Whether that is to ensure that you do not have to go to a medical centre for a minor injury, or if it is to help someone else before medical staff gets to you.

FutureLearn offers a free basic first aid course that you can take online.

Plan Your Next Holiday

I know that we can not go on vacation at the moment, but that is not stopping us from planning it. With the time that we have while we are at home, we have a lot more ability to plan our trips in a lot more detail. Work out exactly where we want to go, what we want to visit, and how we will get to those places. Of course, there are many travel agents and booking sites that you can use, so make sure that you hunt for the best deals possible, too.

What I do like about having this amount of time is that you can get on Google street maps, and do interactive tours of the places beforehand.

With so much time and so few places to go, we should really use the time that we have wisely. Some of the ideas here will not suit everyone. However, the majority of them are going to benefit most people in some way or another. We suggest that you try as many of them as you can, even if it is just something to remember this time with.
