Ericsson has announced the appointment of Sandile Dhlomo as the new Head of Ericsson South Africa, effective 01 September 2025.
He will report to Majda Lahlou Kassi, Vice President and Head of Ericsson West and Southern Africa, and will also serve as a member of the regional leadership team.
Dhlomo brings extensive expertise to the position, with over two decades of experience in the telecommunications and digital industry across the African continent. His background includes strategic leadership roles in ICT, network consulting, and business development in multiple markets, including Algeria, Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana.
The appointment underscores Ericsson’s commitment to strengthening its local leadership in key markets.
Kassi emphasized the strategic importance of the South African market, stating: “We are committed to ensuring a strong, localized focus in our key markets, and South Africa remains a priority for Ericsson in the region. Sandile’s industry expertise, deep local insights, and proven leadership will drive our growth ambitions while reinforcing our trusted partnerships in South Africa.”
In his new role, Dhlomo will be responsible for steering Ericsson’s operations and strategic initiatives in South Africa. The company has a long history in the region, driving network modernization and digital transformation through partnerships with mobile operators and enterprises.
