MTN will be ranging the much-awaited Huawei P9 and P9 Lite LTE smartphone, for both prepaid and post-paid customers.

The Huawei P9 is the world’s first co-engineered Leica dual-camera smartphone that boasts an 8MP front facing camera for crystal clear selfies, and a stunning 5.2-inch 1080p display.

The device comes in a storage capacity of 32GB with expandable memory, is powered by a new Kirin 955 2.5GHz 64-bit ARM-based processor, and its 3000mAh high-density battery offers outstanding mobility and greater battery life. In addition, the P9 boasts an enhanced fingerprint sensor which gives users added security and easy access to unlock your smartphone

The P9 will be available on MTN MyChoice100 at R569 pm x 24 months and P9 Lite on MTN MyChoice50 for R329 per month for 24 months with free 30GB data once-off. Prepaid customers can purchase the P9 for R13 359 and P9 Lite R6 549. First 3000 customers will receive free Hugo Boss designer sunglasses valued at R3000.

Says Larry Annetts, Chief Consumer Officer: MTN South Africa: “MTN is excited that it will be giving its customers an opportunity to own this desirable device. The decision by MTN to range the latest iteration of the P series stems from our desire to offer our customers a broader range of devices that suit their needs and usage. This is one of the ways that MTN is working towards leading the delivery of a bold, new digital world.”

“We are excited to give our users the ultimate smartphone photography experience. Consumers around the world use their smartphones to take billions of pictures each year, making photography critical to their everyday lives. Our P9 users can capture images with unmatched clarity no matter where they are,” said Charlene Munilall, General Manager, Huawei Consumer Business Group.

MTN offers the P9 range in these dazzling colours: mystic silver and titanium grey.
