Online real estate start-up Property Fox who recently launched their online sales platform has made their first sale, saving their seller almost R100, 000 in fees. By Staff Writer

Aiming to tackle “archaic” property selling methods and make residential sales happen at, in some cases, over 80% less than traditional estate agent commissions, founders of Property Fox Crispin Inglis and Ashley James launched with a bang to the market earlier this month and now have their first successful sale under their belts.

“We listed Mrs Kruger’s home in Pretoria for sale two weeks ago. As soon as it went live on our website we syndicated it across all online platforms (which is what we do for all of our listings). We scheduled several listings for Mrs Kruger and within one day of posting it live we managed to find a buyer who fell in love with the property. After visiting the property twice, the buyer put in an offer that was accepted by Mrs Kruger.,” Inglis said.

“We gauge our success by how much our clients save, and in this instance, we saved Mrs Kruger R90 300 on her home, which is what she would have paid if she sold it through a traditional high street agent charging 7%,” said James.

Property Fox’s disruptive innovation model for selling property online launched in April across South Africa, offering customers the services of a professional photographer, floor plans and valuations, aiming to simplify the sales process, make it more transparent and above all, more affordable.
