OPPO has officially launched its most advanced smartwatch yet, the OPPO Watch X2, in South Africa.

Combining precision health tracking, all-day battery life, and a sleek yet durable design, this premium wearable is built for those who balance work, fitness, and everyday life.

Whether navigating boardrooms, gym sessions, or outdoor adventures, the Watch X2 keeps users connected, active, and in control.

Elevated Design for Everyday Wear

Encased in polished stainless steel with a premium titanium alloy bezel, the OPPO Watch X2 blends sophistication with rugged durability.

Its 1.5-inch AMOLED display delivers crisp visuals with a 2200-nit peak brightness, ensuring clarity even in direct sunlight, says Oppo.

Protected by scratch-resistant 1.25mm Sapphire Crystal Glass, the watch is built to withstand daily wear.

Meeting the MIL-STD 810H military standard and rated IP68 for dust resistance and 5ATM for water resistance, the Watch X2 is ready for anything – from intense workouts to unexpected rain showers.

Its lightweight yet sturdy design makes it a stylish companion for any occasion.

Wellness Reimagined

South Africans are increasingly proactive about health, and the OPPO Watch X2 supports this journey with advanced tracking. The standout 60-second health scan provides real-time insights into heart rate, blood oxygen, and arterial stiffness—all synced to the OHealth app for easy monitoring.

Powered by an 8-channel heart rate sensor and 16-channel blood oxygen sensor, the Watch X2 delivers clinical-grade precision. It also features ECG functionality and arterial stiffness monitoring, helping users detect early cardiovascular risks.

Sleep tracking goes beyond basics, analysing breathing rate, blood oxygen, snoring, and movement—even during short naps. Weekly summaries via the OHealth app provide actionable insights for better rest. Additionally, heart rate variability tracking and guided breathing exercises help manage stress, ensuring holistic well-being.

Made to Move

With over 100 workout modes, including automatic recognition for running, cycling, swimming, and rowing, the Watch X2 is a fitness powerhouse. Its dual-frequency GPS (L1 & L5) ensures precise tracking, even in weak signal areas.

For runners, real-time posture analysis measures ground contact time, stride length, and balance to optimise performance and reduce injury risk. Racquet sports enthusiasts benefit from dedicated badminton and tennis tracking, with post-match feedback to refine technique.

Battery Life That Keeps Up

Despite its advanced features, the Watch X2 boasts up to 5 days of battery life in Smart Mode and 16 days in Power Saver Mode. With Watch VOOC Flash Charging, a 10-minute charge delivers 24 hours of use, while a full charge takes just 80 minutes.

Powered by the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 and BES2700 MCU chipsets, the watch efficiently balances performance and energy consumption, eliminating the need for daily charging.

Smart on the Inside

Running on Wear OS by Google, the Watch X2 seamlessly integrates with smartphones, offering notifications, Google Assistant, Maps, and Wallet. Google Fast Pair ensures quick setup, while access to Google Play allows for custom watch faces and apps.

Price and Availability

“With the OPPO Watch X2, we are not just offering a smartwatch, we are delivering a companion that empowers South Africans to take charge of their health, time, and ambitions. It is smart technology with a human purpose,” says OPPO SA’s Head of Retail, Bradley Young.

Available in Lava Black with a sporty rubber strap, the Watch X2 launches on 20 June 2025 at major retailers for RRP R6,999. Whether for fitness, productivity, or health monitoring, the OPPO Watch X2 is designed to keep up with South Africa’s dynamic lifestyles.
