The Zimbali Lakes Clubhouse, a new landmark on the KZN North Coast, has officially opened to both residents and the public.
Following a series of boutique gatherings throughout April — from an intimate residents’ dinner to exclusive media and influencer experiences — the journey culminated in a grand opening celebration on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, attended by over 200 distinguished guests.
From arrival — marked by supercars, champagne and oysters — to sunset over the estate, the evening unfolded in an atmosphere of refined elegance. Guests enjoyed exceptional cuisine, immersive lighting, and entertainment, from live music to theatrical smoke and light installations, including the debut of the Chase the Ace attraction. A dedicated Stellenbosch Wine Route experience offered tastings of premium wines and champagne.
Adding a signature Big Easy touch, guests were introduced to a commissioned Ernie Els sculpture, alongside a collection of sculptural works by Marco Olivier.
The ceremonial ribbon cutting, led by KwaDukuza Mayor S’duduzo Gumede, Vusumusi Nkosi (Non-Executive Director of IFA Hotels & Resorts), and Werner Burger (CEO of IFA Hotels & Resorts), marked not only the official opening, but the arrival of a new social and lifestyle landmark on the North Coast. Applause carried across the terraces as guests gathered to witness this milestone moment. The evening was defined by celebration, connection, and thoughtfully curated experiences within the Clubhouse.

The Smokehouse & Grill concept introduces a sensory dining experience centred around open-fire cooking traditions, complemented by cigar and premium whisky selections.
