NetApp, a data infrastructure company, has appointed Axiz as a distributor across Africa in a landmark agreement that reflects NetApp’s renewed commitment to scale its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing digital markets.
This strategic collaboration aims to empower a broader channel ecosystem, unlock new partner-led opportunities, and deliver world-class data and cloud solutions to enterprises across Sub-Saharan Africa.
“Collaborating with Axiz represents a pivotal step in NetApp’s Africa strategy,” said Farid Najjar, Commercial Sales Manager – MEA at NetApp. “Axiz’s reach, technical expertise, and strong multi-vendor ecosystem uniquely position them to drive the next phase of our growth across key markets. This is not just about distribution — it’s about enabling a new generation of cloud, AI, and infrastructure leaders across the continent.”
The collaboration brings together NetApp’s leadership in hybrid cloud, AI-ready storage, and cyber-resilient infrastructure with Axiz’s expansive footprint, which spans more than 30 African countries including South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Namibia, and Mauritius.
“This partnership responds to the real infrastructure demands we’re seeing across the continent,” said Craig Brunsden, CEO of Axiz. “NetApp brings proven capabilities in areas like hybrid cloud and secure storage, and our role is to ensure that partners across Sub-Saharan Africa can access and apply those solutions where they’re needed most.”
Axiz will offer the full NetApp portfolio to channel partners – including NetApp ONTAP®, Keystone, and cloud-integrated solutions – alongside enablement programs, technical support, and a scalable services engine to help partners grow faster and deliver greater value to customers.
“The addition of NetApp to our ecosystem opens significant opportunities for partners to tap into high-growth segments such as AI, hybrid cloud, and secure multicloud storage,” added Elvira Scheller, General Manager for Backup and Storage at Axiz. “Together, we will unlock scale, accelerate partner profitability, and drive adoption of next-generation solutions that align to Africa’s digital future.”
The collaboration will be formally launched at a regional partner summit where both companies will share their joint vision, go-to-market plans, and new programs designed to elevate channel capabilities across Africa.
