Grade 12 genius Bhekumuzi Eliah Mnisi from KwaMhlanga Senior Secondary School in Mpumalanga, who obtained a 100% pass (300 out of 300) in both mathematics and physical science has been hailed by the Mpumalanga Provincial Government for his remarkable achievement.

Bhekumuzi has been awarded a host of sponsored items as a token of appreciation as well as a full bursary to further his studies at his tertiary institution of choice by the provincial government.

His hard work and dedication in science and maths have also seen him walking away with an amount of R20 000 in cash from the giant petrochemical company Sasol.

The Mpumalanga Department of Education describes Mnisi as a “rising star” and says his achievement as an inspiration of hope to up-coming matriculants.

“The people of Mpumalanga are incredibly proud of Bhekumuzi (Mnisi). Indeed he set high standards for academic excellence and inspiring future generations to reach for the stars,” said the department.

“He has left everyone amazed during the ceremony of announcing the provincial results.

“His talent is a beacon of hope and we have no doubt that he will continue to shine brightly in his future endeavours.”
