The tech week and awards extravaganza will see hundreds of tech innovators gather in Johannesburg for the action packed event.
The South African Annual Tech for Innovation and Social Impact Awards will be hosted in collaboration with the MICT SETA.
This inaugural event celebrates the work of individuals and organisations in the technology sector who have made a significant contribution to social impact and innovation.
The tech sector has become a major source of economic growth fuelling the South African economy. As an innovation industry, the tech sector has impacted how everyone communicates and access information, distribute products and services, and address critical societal problems.
This year’s awards ceremony will feature keynote speakers from some of the most influential figures in the industry, including renowned innovators, entrepreneurs, and academics who have helped to shape the technology landscape in South Africa.
This immersive formal black tie tech affair will feature an elegant night of live entertainment, dining, dancing, fundraising, and an awards ceremony. 500 people are expected to join the event, as leaders and experts in the field of technology, as well as government officials invited will attend.
The awards will recognize achievements across a range of categories, including innovation, social impact, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. The nominees for each category have been carefully selected by a panel of judges from across the technology sector in South Africa.
“We are excited to host the Annual Tech for Innovation and Social Impact Awards,” said Mikhial Mariemuthu, senior manager, EPF. “This event provides an opportunity to celebrate the incredible work being done by individuals and organizations in the South African technology sector who are making a difference in the world and impacting South African Tech Global competition.
