As South Africa and the world grapple with chronic shortages of sanitisers, one of the most critical products in the fight against coronavirus infection, Avon Justine has introduced alcohol-based sanitisers to its product portfolio to plug the supply gap created by an unprecedented spike in local and global demand.
The World Health Organisation (WHO), the Department of Health and the health fraternity have identified the use of sanitisers and soap as the first line of defence to stop the spread of the coronavirus and prevent possible infection.

Both Avon and Justine hand sanitisers contain 70% alcohol, which is in line with WHO specifications.
The sanitisers are available in both 60ml and 150ml bottles, which allows for convenience and portability. The 60ml bottle retails for R35 while the 150ml bottles sell for R59.

“Small-sized sanitisers are handy when people are out and about with no access to soap and running water. Acceptable hygienic practises such as washing hands regularly is the first line of defence against COVID-19 infection,” says Mafahle.

Sanitisers are classified as essential goods under COVID-19, 10 regulations, meaning that orders will be delivered to customers after they have successfully placed their orders.
