#ZumaMustFall? Well, it’s either him or me

Following the shock announcement that Nene, the man at the helm of the country’s economy, was removed from his post, a parody account called The Rand (@The_SA_Rand) was created.

So far the ailing currency’s biggest request has come in the form of a pinned post saying: “#ZumaMustFall? Well, it’s either him or me.”

With a R1 coin as its profile picture, The Rand has also expressed concern about investigative journalism show Carte Blanche: “I’m already dreading carte blanch on Sunday.”

Some have even offered to assist the now all-time-low Rand with virtual float rings with Jenna Jay Lange ‏(@JennaJayLange) saying: “Hey @The_SA_Rand here! Grab quickly!”

But The Rand replied: “thanks but i’m being dragged down by the weight of the gravy train.”

The Rand did have an optimistic moment though: “woke up feeling like kak but at least it’s friday. lol soz”

Zuma shocked the nation on Wednesday when he recalled Nene, replacing him with David van Rooyen. The move saw the rand plummet with economists and political analysts saying domestic and foreign investment had been compromised. – News24
