Standard Bank, Africa’s largest bank by assets, is debuting Always On banking via WeChat social media platform – described as a first in South African banking with virtual bankers online 24/7.
The banking group says Always On solutions gives its customer’s 24-hour access to a dedicated virtual banking team to enable always on banking anytime and anywhere.
“We know how busy life can get. We understand that your daily time is limited and that this may affect your finances. Wouldn’t it be great to have a bank that is always available, whether it’s Friday night or Sunday morning?” says Standard Bank.
The solution will be available to Standard Bank’s prestige and private banking clients.
The bank says Always On offering gives clients immediate real-time access to their banker wherever they are, and it gives the banking group an even better way to respond swiftly and personally to the needs of customers.
“Transactions, debit orders and even account information is now all in the palm of your hand. That’s the beauty of instant messaging. Ultimate mobility, closer relationships and fingertip financial control,” explains Standard Bank.
Standard Bank is inviting its Prestige and Private banking customers to start talking to their virtual banking team by using WeChat, emails or phoning to the bank.
The banking group is also inviting its Prestige and Private banking clients to join it on the 7th of October 2015 for a real-time banking Q&A. Standard Bank will be answering any financial questions via a nonstop 24-hour live chat.
