Mpilo Technologies has announced the appointment of Motsholane Sebola as Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO) and Sizwe Mabanga as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). These appointments come as the company enters its next phase of growth, focusing on driving digital transformation and delivering scalable, impactful solutions for businesses across Africa.

Motsholane Sebola, who has held key leadership roles at Mpilo Technologies, brings extensive experience in technology, digital transformation, and strategic partnerships. His deep understanding of the African market will be crucial as the company strengthens its position as a leader in digital innovation.

“We are excited to announce Motsholane’s new role as Deputy CEO,” said Denzil Fillis, CEO and founder of Mpilo Technologies.

“Mo, as we affectionately call him, started with us just over six years ago as a fixed-term contractor. What began as a short-term stint evolved into a permanent role when I recognized Mo’s passion for technology and the alignment of his values with ours. From Technology Manager to our first-ever CTO, and now Deputy CEO, Mo’s journey exemplifies the growth opportunities we offer at MpiloTech. His leadership, technical expertise, and vision for the African market will be invaluable as we continue to innovate and expand.”

Motsholane expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am honored to be recognized for this position and excited to work alongside the talented team at Mpilo Technologies to create impactful solutions for businesses and individuals across Africa. Together, we will continue to build on Mpilo Technologies’ legacy of innovation and excellence.”

Sizwe Mabanga, the newly appointed CTO, brings expertise in cloud technology, software engineering, and digital transformation. His experience in agile development, multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Huawei), and platforms such as Volt MX and Temenos Digital Banking will enhance Mpilo Technologies’ technical capabilities and ensure the company remains at the forefront of innovation.

“Sizwe’s leadership will be vital in shaping the future of Mpilo Technologies’ solutions as we work to deliver scalable, advanced technologies to meet the growing needs of our customers across Africa,” added Fillis.

These appointments coincide with Mpilo Technologies’ 10th anniversary, marking a decade of delivering innovative, mission-critical solutions to leading enterprises in South Africa and beyond. The company remains committed to its goal of creating 10,000 jobs in digital transformation by 2030 and continues to develop cutting-edge solutions tailored to the unique needs of African businesses and communities.
