Author Venus Campbell has announced her newest publication, Requite of the Fates, released August 11th, as August hails Romance Awareness or Read a Romance month. Tight on the heels of a Greek mythological resurgence, Campbell’s interracial time-travel romance is a Greek mythology retelling of Theseus and the Minotaur that follows war photojournalist, Marly Broadie, surviving on grit and grief as she encounters Emissary Nate Wayne, under the control of aliens.
This 2026 release falls within the same universe as Campbell’s previous sci-fi romance publication, To Desire the Stars, a Literary Global Book Awards finalist. In Requite of the Fates, however, Campbell weaves Greek mythology, alien gods, and time travel into a paranormal romance that asks how far love will reach across centuries.
