Datatec (JSE: DTC), a leading international Information and Communications Technology (ICT) group, has announced that its subsidiary, Logicalis USA, has successfully acquired 100% of the share capital of Loial, a prominent technology solutions provider based in New Mexico.
The strategic acquisition, which became effective on July 31, 2026, significantly strengthens Logicalis USA’s managed services portfolio and cybersecurity capabilities.
It also establishes a permanent Logicalis USA physical presence in New Mexico, expanding the company’s operational footprint across the Southwest region.

This acquisition allows Logicalis to serve a broader spectrum of industries, particularly those with critical infrastructure needs. Loial’s client base spans the energy, utilities, government, and healthcare sectors—verticals where cybersecurity and uptime are paramount.

Datatec has confirmed that this announcement is being made on a voluntary basis. The acquisition does not meet the thresholds for categorization in terms of the JSE Listings Requirements, and therefore, does not require approval by Datatec shareholders.
