In a bold move to tackle youth unemployment and make entrepreneurship education more accessible, the Empire Partner Foundation (EPF) and the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) have launched Bazinga Biz, a mobile-first, gamified learning app that combines certified business training with an engaging, interactive user experience.

Bazinga Biz offers young South Africans the opportunity to build business skills from the palm of their hand, with no classrooms or textbooks, just real-world knowledge delivered through quests, simulations, and a touch of friendly competition.

“At Empire Partner Foundation, we’re proud to support the Bazinga Biz App as a powerful digital tool designed to uplift entrepreneurs”, said Joanna Govender, CEO of Empire Partner Foundation. “This platform aligns with our mission to democratise access to business resources, simplify growth for emerging enterprises, and bridge the digital divide in South Africa’s informal economy”.

Mobile Learning Meets Serious Business Skills

Bazinga Biz is no ordinary app. At its core is an accredited entrepreneurship course, broken down into bite-sized modules that users complete through gamified challenges. Players create virtual businesses, make decisions on budgeting, marketing, and operations, and receive immediate feedback through in-app simulations.

A Business Personality Test guides users to a personalised learning path, tailored to their strengths and entrepreneurial styles. The platform includes progress tracking, rewards, and unlockable levels, ensuring users stay motivated and engaged throughout their journey.

Designed for Inclusion and Impact

One of the app’s standout features is its commitment to inclusivity. Designed with accessibility in mind, Bazinga Biz is optimised for low-data environments and is available across Android, iOS, and Huawei devices. According to EPF and FSCA South Africa, this was a deliberate choice to ensure users in rural and underserved areas can benefit from the same learning opportunities as those in urban centers.

Responding to a National Challenge

With South Africa’s youth unemployment rate remaining one of the highest globally, Bazinga Biz enters the scene at a critical time. By equipping young people with the tools to start and grow their businesses, the app supports national goals around job creation, financial inclusion, and economic participation.

EPF and FSCA say the app is part of a larger movement to reimagine how institutions approach development and education in a digital age. Regular updates and new content will be rolled out monthly, ensuring the platform evolves with user needs and market trends.

Now Available to Download

Bazinga Biz is now available for download on:

  • Google Play Store
  • Apple App Store
  • Huawei AppGallery

Monthly updates will introduce new features, ensuring the app remains aligned with users’ evolving needs. EPF and FSCA call on entrepreneurs, educators, and civic tech leaders to join them in reshaping South Africa’s economic landscape, one gamified lesson at a time.

Download the Bazinga Biz App today and turn your business dreams into reality.
