FNB’s nav» Hits 5M Users, Empowering SA With Smart Financial Tools

FNB today announced a major milestone for its flagship nav» platform within the FNB Banking App. With a nine-year track record of delivering smart digital tools, FNB’s nav» Money has reached 5 million users, including 1 million new users in the past 12 months.

Since its 2016 launch, nav» has transformed how FNB customers manage finances, assets, wellbeing, and environmental impact.

The platform offers tools across Money, Car, Home, Earth, Energy, Marketplace, Care, and the newly launched nav» Graduate, catering to various life stages.

“Over the past nine years, we’ve focused on innovating solutions that go beyond traditional banking,” says Jolandé Duvenage, FNB’s Chief Imagineer for nav».

“The vision of holding our customers’ hands or having their backs as they make some of the biggest decisions in their lives continues to be our North Star.”

FNB data reveals that since December 2023, 600 families have found homes monthly using nav» Home.

“In a country with serious socio-economic challenges, it’s humbling to know our innovation is helping bring dignity, pride, and shelter to customers,” adds Lytania Johnson, CEO of FNB Personal Segment.

Of the 5 million users, over 3 million earn up to R750k annually, with 1.1 million smart budgets set up through nav» Money.

“Financial inclusion starts with banks providing tailored solutions to enable smart financial planning,” says Johnson.

To celebrate, FNB launched an in-app and social media campaign, offering prizes like an SUV, fuel for a year, gaming consoles, smartphones, and vouchers.

“We’re excited to give back to our customers and reward their loyalty,” says Duvenage.

FNB’s nav» success reflects its commitment to innovative solutions that address South Africans’ evolving challenges, from financial inclusion to sustainability.
