MTN Awards 2 Billion YelloBucks To Loyal Customers For Black Friday Spending

In a Black Friday surprise, MTN has allocated two billion YelloBucks to loyal customers. All customers who have been with MTN SA for six months or longer now have extra YelloBucks to spend until 30 November.

“At MTN, we believe in rewarding our customers simply for being with us, and so our MTN YelloBucks loyalty programme was introduced to drive value across our entire customer base – no matter the product a customer subscribes to,” says Mapula Bodibe MTN SA’s Chief Consumer Officer.

“Everyone deserves the benefits of a modern connected life and all of our customers deserve the benefits of MTN YelloBucks. Black Friday is the perfect time to spend accumulated YelloBucks on Black Friday Special Bundles”.

Until 30 November, customers can now pay for bundles using YelloBucks. When purchasing bundles on the MTN App, they can pay using YelloBucks only, or using a combination of their bank card and available YelloBucks.

Customers need to simply select the Black Friday bundle they want and then select “With YelloBucks” or “With bank card” when paying.  To confirm, customers should select “Paying with YelloBucks” to use their YelloBucks to pay for their bundles or airtime.

These once-off Black Friday YelloBucks are already available in customer wallets for bundle purchases. If customers would prefer to use their YelloBucks for something other than bundles, they can visit the Rewards catalogue on the MTN App to view available offers, or by dialling *234#”.

The once-off bonus Black Friday YelloBucks points, which come on the back of exceptional “Go Big. Go Bozza” data deals and Black Friday data deals already in market, were allocated at the beginning of the month, and are available to be used over the Black Friday period. Any unused points will be reversed on 30 November 2021.
