Takealot has announced that it will run a full month of Blue Dot Sale deals for a second year in a row, with countdown deals at Takealot’s Black Friday prices.

Kicking off on 1 November, eager shoppers, looking for the best deals in South Africa, will be able to shop weekly Blue Dot Countdown deals across Takealot’s wide range of home, tech, sport, beauty and more.

From 1 – 25 November, Takealot will release tens of thousands of deals each week in the lead-up to the epic five-day Blue Dot Sale.

      • Week 1 (1 – 7 November): large appliances, TVs, audio, furniture, beauty, toys and nappies
      • Week 2 (8 – 14 November): garden, pool & patio, braai’s, DIY, power tools, laptops & computers, books and liquor
      • Week 3 (15 – 21 November): bed & bathroom, dining & entertaining, smart home technology, camping, and household essentials
      • Early Access (22 – 25 November): Appliances, gaming, TVs, sporting equipment, and toys

The annual Blue Dot Sale will kick off at one-minute past midnight on 26 November (Black Friday) and will run for 5 days over Black Friday weekend into Cyber Monday (29 November) and Takealot Tuesday (30 November), with up to 50% off thousands of deals.

“We’re excited to once again give our shoppers more time to shop as we release some of our best deals in the countdown to our annual Blue Dot Sale. We’ve always aimed to offer a customer-centric online experience that takes the queueing and hassle of in-store shopping out of Black Friday and festive shopping, and this year is no different”, says Julie-Anne Walsh, Chief Marketing Officer at Takealot.com.

This year’s exciting new addition is that Takealot Tuesday (30 November) will add extra focus on showcasing deals sold by Takealot Marketplace sellers (specifically small to medium-sized South African businesses that utilise Takealot to sell and deliver their products) as well as products exclusive to Takealot.

Shoppers can take advantage of safe, contactless delivery across the country, and for those in main centres in Cape Town, Pretoria and Johannesburg, Takealot offers same-day and next-day delivery.

And, with more than 80 Takealot Pickup Points in Gauteng, the Eastern Cape, Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Free State and Mpumalanga, it’s never been easier to shop and safely collect nationwide.
