South Africans are not happy with Cooperative Governance Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma who is believed to be calling for the alcohol and cigarette ban to continue.

News24 says they have been reliably informed that Dlamini-Zuma has told the National Coronavirus Command Council (NCCC) this week that the sale of tobacco and alcohol should continue to be banned until the country reaches Level 1 of the lockdown.

News24’s source went on to say that no decision had yet been taken,

“The discussion goes on and on and there is no finality,” the insider said.

Where was minister #dlaminizuma when the decision to reopen schools was taken? It seems like she is more obsessed with tobacco and liquor not people’s lives. #level1 pic.twitter.com/qe4kp6b5NJ

I think it’s time for Cyril to reshuffle the Cabinet… We replace Nkosazana Clarice Dlamini-Zuma with Gwede ”TIGER” Mantashe

My drunkard uncle had a hope that he will drink soon. I don’t think he will make it until Level 1 because now he is vibrating like Nokia 3310.#dlaminizuma pic.twitter.com/OuMO0R6cvG

It’s funny to me that when Ramaphosa appointed #dlaminizuma as COGTA minister, he never anticipated that we gonna reach a state of emergency due to the coronavirus. He probably thought “Lemme give her a useless department” I bet he now regrets her appointment. pic.twitter.com/pwn0xs4OxF
