When Doc, Marty and Jennifer travelled to 2015 in 1989’s Back to the Future II, they saw lots of things that now exist in real life. First, there was a hoverboard. Then there were person drones, robotic gas attendants and bionic implants.

On the other end, they saw flying cars, hovering inversion therapy and several other technologies scientists are far from inventing. In this article, we look at what’s already created, more so, tech trends now shaping our future.

Big Data

Everyone that has tried big data has reported of the same experience. For starters, they are astonished at the amount of data they can analyze. Then they are stunned at the benefits of using the wealth of information from big data to impact change.

In the security sector, police and military officials analyze hundreds of thousands of gigabytes worth of information to detect and stop crime. They use the same data to analyze the behaviours of high-level criminals and stop them before they commit crimes.

In the health industry, big data is playing an essential role in accelerating the rate at which scientists conduct their work. For example, they can analyze how thousands of people react to different medicines and formulate ways to improve them.

Sports, finance, and marketing are also tapping on big data. The objective is to analyze large volumes of information to find the most effective ways to solve real-world problems.

Cloud Gaming

If you play video games regularly, chances are you purchase in-game skins or seasonal passes. That’s the future of gaming, one that’s centred on the cloud rather than physical copies. It is happening across all gaming platforms, from consoles and PCs to mobile gaming.

More, importantly, cloud gaming is revolutionizing the entire gaming industry, including the best bonus casinos and betting companies. Today, if you want to play the best online slots, just check Topslots South-Africa, you don’t have to visit the Grand West Casino. Instead, all you need is a smartphone and an account at a genuine online casino.

If you prefer to play sports simulation games like FIFA 2020, you can download the game with this top gaming laptop Singapore and purchase a license key online. The same applies to action games, puzzles and adventure titles. Of course, you could also play free games, primarily through your mobile device.

Blockchain Technology

Ever since the Bitcoin bubble burst in late 2017, the buzz around the technology faded. But that doesn’t mean the cryptocurrency is no longer critical. In fact, the system through which Bitcoin exists (the blockchain) is still making an impact worldwide.

For the uninitiated, the blockchain is a decentralized network that hosts immutable records. It’s managed by a series of computers, meaning a single individual does not own it. It’s also hack-proof, meaning data registered on the blockchain can never be changed.

In addition to its security, the blockchain facilitates free peer to peer transactions worldwide. It can also be used to develop apps, provide cloud services, Salesforce provides guidance on customer service, used for banking, gaming and virtually everything else.

Due to that, the blockchain is a technology in high demand, from Wall Street to Silicon Valley. Precisely, MasterCard, JP Morgan, Facebook, NASDAQ and Wal-Mart are some famous brands with projects centred on the blockchain.

AI as a Service

Artificial Intelligence is yet another innovation projected to change the world as we know it years to come. Think of robots, supercomputers, voice assistants and self-driving cars. These are all innovations artificial intelligence is responsible for.

And judging by AI’s continued influence in the world, it’s a technology that will be around for long. Presently, AI’s most popular trend is its impact as a service. Think of Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services

Anyone can use AWS to store data and perform a myriad of tasks as long as they purchase a monthly or annual fee. This business model is being projected to grow in the future as people get accustomed to the digital world.

Automation

Are you prepared for automation? Forbes defines it as “a tsunami of change.” It also suggests management, patient care, teaching, food, IT and law enforcement as some of the best career choices if you want a job robots can’t replace.

So, which jobs aren’t safe from automation? Most posts, especially anything that can be done online. Whether it’s content production to customer service, graphics designing to photo editing, programs can do these jobs at a fraction of a second.

For better or for worse, technology keeps improving. That means some jobs, like surgery, which computers can’t do effectively today, could become automated in a decade. Now, imagine what robots and machines will be able to automate by 2050.

Wearable Technology

Not so long ago, wearable clothes cost too much to afford. Now anyone who wants a smartwatch or a fitness tracker can wear one without worrying about costs. For clarity, some fitness trackers cost as little as $10.

Smart shirts and sneakers are reasonably expensive but still affordable to anyone willing to spend a couple of a thousand dollars. Of course, smart clothes are still at an early stage of development. But judging by how fast the trend is growing, it won’t be long until we call all put on clothes connected to the Internet.

5G

Although there might come data connections faster than 5G, the fifth generation of mobile Internet will rule for a few years. For starters, it’s providing speeds ten times more than 4G. That means anything that was limited by 4G’s speed can now be done.

Take multiplayer gaming as an example. Although it’s become popular in part thanks to 4G, the Internet speed still didn’t solve the problem of lagging. By comparison, 5G promises such speedy connections that lagging and latency could become things of the past.

Besides video games, super-fast Internet connections will make it easy to stream movies in 4K or 8K resolutions. On the other end, increased bandwidths will enhance big data, robots and data collection tools.

Essentially, 5G will make everything better, and in return, will rule the Internet connection sphere for a while.
