Global beauty and personal care company, Avon, is on a mission to showcase their latest skincare innovations and give women first-hand insight on how to better take care of their skin and reverse visible signs of ageing.

This groundbreaking initiative will see three leading South African influencers with different skin shades participate at the global Avon 2020 Skincare Summit in New York, USA.

At the summit, Avon skincare experts and scientists will empower the delegates by sharing science-based revelations to reclaim their anti-ageing skincare journeys.

Avon said in a statement that its selected Beauty Ambassadors, Liesl Laurie, Nicolette Mashile and Gina Myers will be gathering and addressing shared myths surrounding skincare amongst South African women.

With the information and insights acquired from the summit, our Beauty Ambassadors will filter out communications through their social media accounts and share the best practices on treating and preventing ageing skin, the beauty and personal care company said.

This social media campaign will be searchable online using #RediscoverYourSkin.

Avon’s flagship skincare brand, ANEW, will be the centrepiece at this summit.

“At Avon, we believe that proven scientific technology is the cornerstone to reversing visible signs of ageing and having great-looking skin. When we launched our ANEW signature product in 1992, we democratised a cutting-edge beauty product and made the science of anti-ageing available to millions of women across the world,” Momin Hukamdad, Executive Director, Commercial Marketing says.

“The feedback from the conference will go a long way towards helping our skincare experts enhance our product portfolio and plug any identifiable gaps. This is one of the ways that Avon is living its brand promise of empowering women across the world by leveraging superior understanding of science and over 25 years of innovation to develop the best products that help our customers have great-looking skin, at every life stage.”

The insights and new product development strategies that delegates will receive at the Skincare Summit will be shared via Avon’s digital channels for the benefit of all South African women, giving them scientifically tested and proven solutions for their everyday skincare challenges.

Follow Avon on its digital platforms to gain valuable and real-time information about skincare from our Beauty Ambassadors. You can also share your skincare questions and concerns on our Anew website: my.avon.co.za/anew.

“We believe that this New York summit will allow our customers to gain intrinsic insights on how to care for and rediscover their skin,” said Hukamdad.
