Avon Launches New Mobile App As Part Of Its Digital Strategy

Avon South Africa, a leading direct-selling company, has introduced a new mobile app known as Avon ON.

Avon ON is an interactive app that gives Representatives the ability to share digital brochures with their customer and create engaging content to connect with their customers.

Avon ON will enable Representatives the opportunity to extend their reach, and by extension improve their earning opportunity by harness the power of technology, in line with Avon’s strategy of empowering women by providing them with innovative earning opportunities.

Our new app is an incredible one-stop tool that allows Representatives to engage with customers intimately, almost as if they were sitting with them, going through the monthly digital brochure or showing them newly launched products,” says Momin Hukamdad, Executive Commercial Marketing Director at Avon.

The launch of the Avon ON follows a rollout of Direct Deliveries which enables customers in Gauteng to receive their orders directly from Avon.

Through connectivity and technology, we will open the doors our independent Representative while we give her customers a positive shopping experience in line with our brand values,” adds Momin.

Research by American think-tank, Pew Research indicates that more than half (59%) of South Africans access the internet on their mobile phones. In addition, e-commerce in South Africa is worth R14 billion according to World Wide Worx.

Avon’s digital strategy aims to leverage off of these growing trends to ensure that Representatives and customers enjoy the benefits of an exciting digital era.
