Vodacom contract customers can now enjoy fantastic savings in roaming rates when they travel to 180 countries, which include popular holiday destinations such as United States, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Brazil, Hong Kong, China, Mozambique, Tanzania and Kenya.
The newly reduced rates are effective from today.
This follows Vodacom’s move to reduce roaming rates and increase Vodacom Travel Saver footprint from 27 countries to 180 destinations.
Vodacom claims that Travel Saver provides lower roaming rates, greater transparency on roaming fees and safeguards customers from raking higher than usual phone bills on roaming.
How to activate Travel Saver:
A customer can activate the Travel Saver through an SMS “SAVE” to 123 or use the My Vodacom App. Alternatively, customers can select calling services on vodacom.co.za.
To access the full list of 180 countries, customers need to go to www.vodacom.co.za/saver
“We encourage customers to download and use the My Vodacom App if they are planning to travel overseas. On the My Vodacom App customers will be able to track their balance, activate Travel Saver and write to us on the Contact Us page to request activation if they have left SA already or are experiencing connectivity issues,” Vodacom informed its customers.
Vodacom also offers its customers a toll free customer care service even while roaming. They can call +2782111 from anywhere around the world to resolve any issues they may have, without being charged.
