Top Mpumalanga Matric achiever Niandi Coetzee from Hoerskool Nelspruit in Mpumalanga has the keys to a brand new car.

Mpumalanga Premier Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane handed over the car on Friday during the Grade 12 results announcement ceremony at the University of Mpumalanga’s main campus in Mbombela.

Mpumalanga Premier Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane hands over the keys of a brand new car to Niandi Coetzee, the province’s matric top performer from Hoerskool Nelspruit.

Deputy Minister of Basic Education Dr. Reginah Mhaule as well as Mpumalanga head of education Lucy Moyane witnessed the hand-over.

Apart from the car and other gifts, Niandi was also awarded a bursary to further her studies at a tertiary institution of choice.

Hoërskool Nelspruit is the best overall performing school in the province with a 100% pass rate,

Mpumalanga Education MEC Bonakele Majuba said: “It gives me great pleasure to indicate that the 2023 Grade 12 class in Mpumalanga recorded a 77% pass rate”.

MEC Majuba added: “This pass rate constitutes a 0.2% improvement from the 76.8% pass rate in 2022.

“There are five learners who obtained 100% in mathematics and other two in technical mathematics, that is 300 out of 300.

“Equally, there is one who obtained 300 out of 300 in physical science.”

MEC Majuba said the Class of 2023 demonstrated that through interventions and support, “we can make it”.

This is a road that God walk for us. No matter what you out come is. Everyone can’t walk the some road. To many in One road can cos accidents. So don’t feel bad if your road was sort of grampy. In the end every grampy way will sly into a glossy, shiny avenue

Wow! Another female driver on the road thats the last we need in this country. I will bet a grand that she crashes it within a few months. Also I like how her father chooses to sit in the back for safety reasons.
