So, the time is upon us to do something new. The problem that most of us are having is that we are social-distancing. That makes some of the things that we would usually do quite tricky. That is why we have compiled the top 5 things to learn. These are not in any order; they are only things that we think are of interest.

Furthermore, all of the things are random, just to keep diversity, as we all know, variety is the spice of life.

Top 5 Things to Try in Summer 2020

As I have already said, some of these things are a little bit random. Therefore, there are some of the items that will suit some people and not others. However, we think that you should try all of them if they interest you.

Grow Your Hair – See How Long You Can Make It

During my time on the internet during this pandemic, I have seen a plethora of people shaving their hair. Maybe it is through boredom, and perhaps it is through “seeing what you look like.” However, we think that we should start a new trend, growing it as long as possible. Not everyone wants to be the same as the hoards of head shavers. That is why we think that we should be a little different. Perhaps see how big you can have an afro, or dreadlocks, or a ponytail. Maybe you just want a mullet.

Whatever style you want to go for, that may be a problem if you struggle to grow your hair at the best of times. For those people, perhaps try using something like the Vita Hairbrush. See if you can shave off some years instead of shaving off some hair.

Try New Food

Of course, with the inability to travel, we have to do things from the comfort of our own homes. What better way than learning some new culinary delights to share with the family, when we can? Perhaps you never cook and would like to learn how to. On the other hand, you may cook every day and want to change the regular meals that you make. Either way, learning to cook is something that you will probably never want to give up.

The question is, what do you cook? Well, as I said, if you are not an avid chef, try something a bit easier. However, for those of you who want something different, try some of these crazy ideas at food.com.

Visit New Places

Yes, I know, we can’t really visit them in person. However, you are using one of the greatest innovations that humans have ever seen on such a broad scale, that’s right, the internet. Google maps have an extensive amount of street views available for everyone to see. That means you can think of any place in the world, and virtually visit it. You can think of it a little bit like learning where you are going to go once you get to travel.

One of the most beautiful places in the world is New Zealand. Take a tour and see the sights before you go there. For all of the natural beauty that is there, it is a little surprising that they did not do too well in the eco-friendly surveys in 2018. Perhaps they will be in a better place once we get to visit.

Plant A Garden

Making the most of our homes this summer is something that we are all going to have to learn. One of the ways that we can do that is by planting a garden. Some people already have a beautiful yard, in which case, you can perhaps try to plant some new plants. Don’t leave this for too long, though, as the planting season will soon be over. Maybe you want to try and make a themed garden with bonsai trees, or other Japanese plants.

If you do not have a garden, then fear not. You can make an indoor garden, and make it look just as pretty as an outside one, only smaller. If you plan it right, you may even be able to use some of what you grow in the cooking that you do.

Complete an Online Course

Have you ever wanted to learn something new? Well, that is what this article is about. The good thing about the internet is that you have thousands of courses on just as many topics available to you to learn right from your laptop. There has never been a better time to try your hand at learning a new language, learning to draw, paint, or improve your math skills to help your kids with their homework.

Places like Udemy have so many courses for you to try, at a really low price, too. Therefore, there is nothing stopping you from trying something new.

2020 is the year to try something new. Even if it does not feel like it, there are still thousands of things that you can try, all you need is a little bit of imagination, and willing to try. Even if you don’t gain any extensive knowledge, and just grow your hair, it will be an experience that you will never forget. (Remember to take a picture before you shave it off, though!)
