JSE-listed tech firm Huge Group informed investors on Friday that it has appointed Robert Burger as the managing director of Huge Telecom.
Huge Telecom is a wholly owned subsidiary of Huge Group.
Burger’s appointment is effective from 23 January 2019.
He has acted as a managing director of Huge Telecoms since 7 November 2018.
Burger is replacing Gunter Engling, who resigned with effect from 6 November 2018 and didn’t provide reasons for the sudden resignation.

Engling, a former deputy chief financial officer at MTN Group, was a managing director of Huge Telecom since April 01, 2018.
Previously, Burger held the position of Financial Director of Huge Telecom.
Burger is a Chartered Accountant and a top-level commercial and financial executive with 17 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, which he gained while working for Vodacom.
“(Burger) is an experienced leader with a strong financial and commercial acumen,” the company informed investors on Friday.
“Significant experience was gained while at Vodacom, where he held various senior roles in credit, commercial, finance and sales at Vodacom Business.”
