Communications Minister Deletes Tweet Telling Vodacom To ‘Just Shut Up’

South Africa’s communications minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams has swiftly deleted a tweet that suggested Vodacom should “just shut up” and pay the Please Call Me Inventor, Nkosana Makate.

On Monday morning, Minister Ndabeni Abrahams tweeted:

Her tweet was a response to a Vodacom reply on Twitter to a tweet from Panyaza Lesufi. Gauteng education, that stated:

“We need to stand by Nkosana ‘Please Call Me’ Makate against this bully called @Vodacom, pay him by month end or face the wrath of the nation. How dare do you even disrespect court decisions #VodaPayHim” wrote Lesufi on Twitter.

The minister has since deleted the tweet.
