BMW Has 300,000 Electric Cars And Plug-in-hybrids On The Road

BMW has sold more than 100,000 electrified vehicles worldwide.

“In total, we already have over 300,000 electric vehicles and plug-in-hybrids on the road,” said Harald Krüger, Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG.

“Once more, we’ve increased the battery capacity and range for the BMW i3.”

Other exciting, new battery-electric vehicles are on the way:

  • 2019: the MINI Electric,
  • 2020: the BMW iX3,
  • 2021: the BMW iNEXT.

The company is planning to launch the BMW i4 in 2021.

“That means, in 2021 we will have five, fully-electric core models. This underlines our strong commitment to future mobility,” said Krüger.

“We are setting the pace in electro-mobility.”

  1. Thanks for writing about battery technology. The i3 is considered to be a successful model for the Bavarians.The Bavarian brand will go through a pretty significant change in the coming years.
