WIRUlink, voted as South Africa’s leading fixed wireless broadband provider, on Wednesday announced that it has joined the Vumatel network – extending their service offering beyond wireless broadband and business fibre, to encompass fibre services to the home.
“We are very excited to have been afforded the opportunity to join the Vumatel network as an ISP on their open access network, as not only have they done an incredible job of building their Fibre to the Home (FTTH) network and driving consumer awareness, but so too do they offer a quality network with large customer reach and a solid track record. This is a pre-requisite for strong customer delivery – something that is pivotal in a competitive market such as ours,” says Riaan Maree, Technical Director at WIRUlink.
The WIRUlink FTTH offering will be available on the Vumatel network as of today, 27 September 2017.
Bringing with it an aggressive pricing strategy and great value, consumers can access uncapped, unshaped and uncontended Internet access with speeds of up to 200Mbps and pricing starting at only R475 per month.
All clients have access to free service activation and a free WiFi router, on a month-to-month basis.
“WIRUlink is a well-established brand that is committed to building a good network and driving quality customer service. We are proud to have them join the Vumatel open access network, opening up further choice for our consumers and providing another great pricing and service offering,” says Niel Schoeman, CEO at Vumatel.
Fibre has certainly grown in popularity in the local market over the past year – largely driven by the need for faster Internet speeds redundancy – and provides a great upgrade to ADSL.
“We believe that to remain competitive, we need to ensure that we are delivering superior, quality service and aftersales support – customer downtime is no longer acceptable and we strive to ensure that our customers are given the best possible service in this regard,” continues Maree.
“This is our key differentiator to market – not only do we have full visibility into the Vumatel network which provides us immediate insight into any issues for quicker turnaround and resolution, but we also offer telephonic support from 07h00 – 23h00, 365 days a year – ensuring customers don’t have to wait for ‘working hours’ to address any concerns or problems with their line.”
Further to the above fibre offering, WIRUlink is able to offer consumers additional value added services for customers that may be running a home office or small business through: telephones (cordless or desktop), WiFi access points throughout the house, existing CCTV can be linked to the internet connection, etc. The company is also able to port telephone numbers to WIRUlink, and keep your existing phone number.
